Patricia González
Dean, Scholar SupportPatricia González is a Dean of Scholar Support at the Foundation, providing academic advising and support to the Cooke College Scholars and Cooke Transfer Scholars.
Before joining the Cooke Foundation, Ms. González worked at Northern Virginia Community College as the community outreach academic advisor, collaborating with local organizations to provide college readiness programming to low-income, immigrant, and first-generation college students. Prior to relocating to Northern Virginia, she worked at the State University of New York at Geneseo as a counselor and academic advisor for Access Opportunity Programs, serving students from economically and academically under-resourced backgrounds. She has also worked as a high school counselor in Rochester, NY, and as a Spanish teacher in New York City.
Ms. González received her B.A. in Psychology from Syracuse University, her M.S.Ed in Counselor Education from The College at Brockport, and has completed coursework towards her doctorate in higher education administration at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
